In a former barracks building on The Presidio’s main parade grounds, Place Partners worked with TEF Architecture and Plant Construction to activate the restored historic building for consolidation of the administrative and executive staff. 
The architecture of the building dictated the layout in terms of using former rooms and suites to house departments. Much interior glass was used to visually open spaces and low partitions fitted up to beautiful historic exterior windows for an uninterrupted flow. We worked with existing furniture parts and added new panels and surfaces as a budget friendly solution that worked beautifully. The space is alive with interesting pockets of unusual workspaces and collaborative areas including the attic with dormer window spaces.
